The 1985 Mercury Motorsport Capri was a Detroit district drive away program vehicle for Lincoln/Mercury. It was built as the official pace car for the 4th annual Detroit Grand Prix by Ford/Lincoln/Mercury with assistance from ASC McLaren.

Only 30 were known to have been built, making it one of the rarest Mercury Capri's produced.

On this site you will find a wealth of photos & information on these unique Capri's.

Founded in 1989 by Jason Ringuette, the registry has been dedicated to researching, documenting & preserving the history of the Mercury Motorsport Capri's . We are the ultimate resource for info on these cars. If you have one or know of one, please send us any photos or info you may have.
