Due to its low VIN number, it is possibly one of the cars modified for track duty. This car may be the Mercury Motor City 100 safety car & the back up safety car for the Grand Prix. The other Automatic car is the Mercury Motor City 100 pace car & the back up Grand Prix pace car.
Around 1994, the widow lettering & the Grand Prix IV decals on the bumper & doors were the only decals remaining on the car.
It has the gray interior (the other one has red).
