This car originally was sold without the majority of the decals despite being built with the full set. The only decals on the car were the red Grand Prix IV lettering on both doors & the rear bumper.
The 1st owner purchased it the way it is pictured in the photos from Crusoes Rivertown Motors in Cheboygan, MI. The most likely scenario for the lack of decals would be that the dealer removed them. The dealership may have had a hard time selling the car with the complete decal set. On other Motorsport Capri's some dealers removed the headlight covers before they were sold due to concerns about the owner getting tickets for the dark tint. A similar concern that it looked too much like "A speeding ticket waiting to happen" may have been the reasoning for removing the decals.
The car currently is back to its original look with all of the standard decals.
